Earthdawn Publishing Trust
The EARTHDAWN PUBLISHING TRUST (EDPT) is fan-based publishing organization dedicated to maintaining the rich storytelling tradition of the Earthdawn role-playing game owned by FASA Corporation.
The primary focus of the EDPT is the development of areas left partially or fully unexplored in the official Earthdawn material. The secondary focus is to serve as an "Earthdawn writer's workshop" that will encourage solidarity in the game's fan base.
To support these goals the EDPT publishes a free, online fanzine, called the Book of Tomorrow, and provides a forum for the development of even more ambitious projects, like sourcebooks. The fanzine provides a place for fans to publish their own Earthdawn material and to find material produced by other Earthdawn enthusiasts.

EDPT Hacked
Well it certainly has been an interesting month. As you may have guessed, EDPT was recently hacked and compromised the security of the server it was on. As a result I decided that it was time to apply some updates that I had been neglecting for a while.
Since the site had a serious security hole, I decided to recreate the site from scratch and just port the database information into the new settings. Well that was much more difficult than the plan I had in my noggin.
To further complicate matters, I would say the life reared its ugly head, but the issues that I have been dealing with weren't really a bad thing, just time consuming. So the site is currently up and running and I've restored the forums, which is what I believe to be the most arduous task. There is still a lot to be done, but I figure that you would rather see it in a partially working state than that annoying "We'll be back" message. If you encounter any problems, please feel free to e-mail, PM, or post in the forum.
